888 - Lion’s Gate Portal
Today is the Lionsgate Portal - 888
The Lion's Gate portal means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. But if you want a proper understanding of what this is, Times of India explains it as,
"When the Spiritual Sun Sirius, Earthly Sun, Orion's Belt, and Earth align. This event is believed to send substantial spiritual light to Earth, offering a powerful time to manifest goals and attract divine energy. The portal remains open from late July to August 12 annually. The Earthly Sun is also in the sign of Leo during the opening of the portal and Leo sign is the ruler of Lion's Gate Portal."
August 8 is the peak date. What makes 2024 super special, it's an "8" year. When you get 2024 down to a single digit, you get the sum of 8 (2+0+2+4=8), thus 888.
Why the number 8?
The number 8 is associated with abundance, prosperity, power, strength, finance, and integrity. With it is a triple 8 years, it makes it more potent.
Because of this, it's a great time of the year to sow the seed of intention to manifest your goals. Personally, I use this date to reset my mindset to one of abundance and gratitude. While I feel like I'm constantly in a state of gratitude, I really like to use this day to sit in that field of mind and spend time soaking up all the universe, my guides, and my dad have done for me to be successful. I take time to appreciate what that means in both tangible and intangible forms.
You will not receive more if you don't appreciate what you have already received. If you're in a constant state of stress, need, lack, and just a miserable mindset, you won't be blessed with more. Regardless of where you are in life, it's important to take stock of what you DO have and thank the universe and those you subscribe to for what has been given. It's okay to ask for more, but it's important to be in a state of gratitude for what you have.
How do you manifest for Lion's Gate?
Everyone's practice is going to be different. For myself, I like to keep it super simple:
I focus on gratitude for what I have been given - I list off all the blessings I have received over the last year or the lessons I have learned that helped propel me to the next level. For me, being in a state of gratitude allows me to vibrate higher, and I can really soak up all the goodness there is around me.
Visualize my Goals - For me, this is my state of flow. I imagine what my next set of goals are and how that would make me feel. Having that visualization makes the next step easier.
Set VERY Clear Intentions - I am never vague or single-handed with this. I write out what I intend to manifest in 2- 3 sentences and WHY it's important for me to accomplish this goal. When you're VERY clear on the what AND why, there is no misinterpretation of what you must do to make that happen.
I read my intentions out loud while using juniper to smudge around the intentions. For me, this helps cleanse and purify my thoughts as I say them out loud. I believe it's important for the universe to hear your intentions. For me, this helps align my balance and harmony.
Lastly, I detach - I know it sounds counterintuitive, but I say the intentions out loud, and then I detach from them. I have a whole book about manifestations if you are all interested, but HERE, detaching is one of the key elements to manifestation. Because you aren't micromanaging the intention. When you micromanage what you want, you're unconsciously telling the universe you don't trust it to bring the gift for you, and you place yourself in a state of disarray and distress. You're not in a state of flow of receiving. Thus, your manifestation won't come to fruition. We have to let go of HOW it will come to us and just know that it will. Detaching can mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people. In this version of manifestation, I decided to burn my intentions. I did take a photo of it, so I'll come back to it in a year to see how far I've come. There, I will talk about what I manifested, but I'm not going to do it right now.
