Coach Forest Green Times Square Tabby
Listen, I have the same question all of you do. What has Coach been doing?! I'm not going to lie, until, literally, June of this year (2024), I aligned Coach with something my Mom (a Boomer) was enthralled with. Coach was giving too Mom, too grandma, too... "okay Boomer"...
...But Coach, founded in 1941, said “nahhhhhh” we have to turn this train around.
and boy, did they?!
Somehow, they pulled themselves up and made themselves more modern and relevant without sacrificing the soul of who they were. Their ads cater to a younger demographic that leans on a fun vibe but without losing the seriousness of the silhouette.
I myself was a never Coach girlie, until I met the Sammy Top Handle Bag 21. Here is a link, but mine has a slightly different colorway. It's black with gold hardware. But I'll write a future blog post about it in the coming weeks.
Well, since first buying the Sammy in June 2024, I have purchased 4 bag charms and 3 other bags. I will talk about each of those in their own post, but today, I want to discuss my newest bag first, the Forest Green Times Square Tabby.
Let me first begin by saying that this was the HARDEST bag to find! Coach, did you only make 5 of these bags?! They were sold out everywhere, and Coach no longer lists it on their website.
But I have it.
How did I find it? TikTok, of course. LOL
I had been pining for the color since I saw the green on the runway and on the site (before they removed it after it was sold out). I saw the navy color in store at the Grove, which I loved, but I was still so drawn to the green. I searched on TikTok to see if there was any store selling them. Lo and behold, there was a girl who showed it off. I reached out to her, but she didn't reply. However, I found out she was a sales associate of Coach in Dallas through research on her TikTok page. I called Dallas Coach, who advised me they had just sold their last one, but the Stonebriar (Frisco, TX) location had two in the system. I quickly called Stonebrair, and they did indeed have it. About a week later, I received the bag I had been hunting.
We love when we get what we want, right? LOL
What made me fall for the Times Square Tabby?
When I was speaking to the sales associate at the Grove, we were discussing the white Times Square Tabby, and she told me that the quilting reminded her of the Broad Museum (located in DTLA). The Broad is my favorite museum in LA. When she said that, it created a deeper connection for me. While I love the white (which I may still pick up), I already have too many white bags (and by too many, I mean two, LOL).
The second reason I adored the bag was how it felt against my fingertips. I have no idea if I have a sensory thing about myself, but I love the feeling of a soft bag. One of my favorite bags is this Green fuzzy tote bag that I picked up from Amazon. I added my name on a strap I custom-created from a UK business through Etsy to add a luxury look.
The feeling of Coach's Times Square Tabby gave me that same feeling when I touched it. I love the feel of the Nappa leather against my fingertips.
I didn't include a shot of what the inside of the purse looks like. However, in a future post, I'll do a video about what can fit inside the bag. I think videos like that are super helpful for people who want a fashionable and functional bag.
Pictured with this bag are the Apple charms from Coach. I have a small and large apple. Honestly, I am so happy that I have both. I would have regretted not buying either of them when given the chance. Trust me, I SAT ON buying the Big Apple until I saw only eight left. LOL. The Large apple is sold out, BUT you can still get the Large New York Cluster Bag Charm set which includes the large apple, Lady Liberty, and a large yellow taxi. I think this would have spoken more to me if I was a NY Girlie, but I'm a Texas baddie living the LA lifestyle.
I have rocked this bag every day for the past week. Even though it has a design that screams more evening wear, this silhouette is perfect for everyday use. I have taken this bad boy to work, the gym, Yoga, Pilates, everywhere! Magically, it seems to match all my looks for this week. I'll post more OOTD and gym outfits for the day, too.
While I have been sporting this bag with the shorter leather gold chain meant for shoulder wear, it does come with a longer leather chain that can be used as a crossbody. While I am a crossbody girlie, the strap for this bag is too skinny for my personal taste.
